geworden

'COUNTDOWN
magazine' features
at least one
example in each
issue

the quote featured here
has become known
worldwide thru the
internet

it appeared in at least 5
graffitis during the past
couple of months - at the
free-wall areas of 'letten'
and 'red factory' in zurich

'COUNTDOWN
magazin' stellt in
jeder ausgabe

this quote (just like the
one featured in
COUNTDOWN 1 and 2/1)
is by david icke, a
controversial conspiracy
researcher

anna goldstein, a
business & life coach
from new york,
mentions david's quote
on her website, adding
that she had exactly the
problem david talks
about:

"when I first started my business, i
hid behind my brand (Self in the
City). i was afraid of putting myself
"out there." i didn't know what
others would think of me"

das zitat (wie auch das zitat in
COUNTDOWN 1 und 2/1) stammt übrigens
von david icke, einem bekannten und
umstrittenen verschwörungsforscher

anna goldstein, eine new
yorker lebensberaterin,
erwähnt davids zitat
ebenfalls auf ihrer website
und erzählt, wie sie am
anfang ihrer karriere genau
das problem hatte, von dem
davids zitat handelt:

"am anfang meiner tätigkeit als coach
ging es mir genauso und ich versteckte
mich hinter meiner marke "Self in the
City". ich hatte angst davor, mich zu
outen. ich wusste ja nicht was andere
über mich denken würden"

- david icke

after coaching hundreds of people
over the last 4.5 years, i realize we
all have something in common. we
are AFRAID of what others think!

nachdem ich während der letzten
viereinhalb jahre hunderte von
menschen beraten habe, erkannte ich,
dass wir alle etwas gemeinsam haben.
wir haben ANGST davor, was andere
denken!

"the number one thing that stops us is FEAR"

- anna goldstein

what would YOU do if you weren't
afraid of what others think?

david identified the problem -
and anna gives a bit of advice
on how to overcome such fear:

david nennt das problem beim
namen - und anna gibt ein paar
lösungstipps

others have spoken out on this
topic as well. one example:

PLEASE NOTE: quoting the words of
any particular individual does not mean
that we endorse every facet of their
viewpoint, words or actions

"The greatest fear in the
world is of the opinions of
others. And the moment you
are unafraid of the crowd you
are no longer a sheep, you
become a lion. A great roar
arises in your heart, the roar
of freedom." -Osho

zu dem thema haben sich auch
schon andere geäussert:

quote graffiti at 'red factory' free-wall area,
zurich 2014

"die schlimmste angst, die es gibt, ist die angst vor der meinung der anderen. und in dem
augenblick, wo du dich nicht mehr vor der menge fürchtest, bist du kein schaf mehr. du
wirst du zu einem löwen. ein brüllender schrei steigt aus deinem herzen empor - der
schrei der freiheit (OSHO)

"das schlimmste gefängnis, in dem menschen leben können, ist die angst davor, was
andere leute denken"

während viele in ihrem
selbstgemachten angst-
gefängnis verschmachten,
hier noch ein beispiel von
einem typen, der seine angst
vor der meinung anderer
hinter sich gelassen hat:

*"ich hab mich nie gross darum gekümmert, was andere leute über mich denken"

brando waren andere menschen
nicht egal - im gegenteil. aber ihre
meinungen über ihn kümmerten
ihn nicht

brando wasn't indifferent to other
people - on the contrary. but he
was indifferent to their opinions
about him

marlon brando gab auch kaum je
interviews. einer der wenigen, die
es schafften, ihn zu interviewen
war der filmkritiker david sheehan:

marlon brando hardly ever gave
interviews. one of the few persons
who managed to interview him was
film critic david sheehan:

im folgenden kurzen video clip erklärt
johnny depp dem talkmaster larry
king, welchen einfluss marlon brando
auf ihn hatte:

in the following short video clip,
johnny depp tells larry king what
marlon brando's influence
meant to his career as an actor:

marlon brando

nach diesem skandal war sacheen
littlefeathers filmkarriere beendet. das
FBI bedrohte alle, die ihr arbeit geben
wollten. und sie wird von der weissen
medien-elite im staat USA bis heute als
'schlampe' beschimpft

after this scandal, sacheen
littlefeather's film career was over.
the FBI threatened everyone who
would employ here. to this day, she
is branded as a "slut" by the white
US media elite

sacheen littlefeather 2013

sheehan remembers: "i once invited
marlon brando to a dinner party at my
house - and he actually showed up.
but he came in the back door and the
lady doing the cooking in the kitchen
thought he was a delivery man

that's how low-key and unassuming
marlon always was in his off-screen life"

entzieht

time is short. we don't have
much more time. you can't just
have people like us talking and
being heard. people must
interrupt us and say what they
have to say. everyone has got
to get involved and express
themselves

it is particularly the politicians and journalists
who are feeling the impact of this. the times
when they were able to preach and govern
undisturbed are all but gone. today they are
being drowned out, attacked and challenged
from all sides - the awakening, emancipation
and evolution of mankind goes ahead with
giant steps and the self-titled 'elites' are fast
becoming the laughing stock of a world
spiralling ever faster out of their control

sacheen littlefeather 1973

'the wild one' (1953)

perhaps the most interesting
point in the interview is this:
already then (1973) marlon said
in effect:

eigene websites:
and now, of course, 40 years later, time is
even shorter. mankind is on the verge of
harvesting the apocalyptic consequences of
not wanting to listen to people like marlon
brando and many others. yet much is being
done and much momentum has been built.
and nowadays everyone can participate and
express themselves:

'the wild one' (1953)

'apocalypse now' (1979)

COUNTDOWN ONLINE MAGAZINE
der unterschied zwischen einem
feigling und einem 'helden' ist
klein - und keiner der beiden ist
besser oder schlechter als der
andere. die beiden machen nur
eine unterschiedliche erfahrung

es gibt da eine alte geschichte:
ein yogi und ein tantra-mönch
kamen zu einem giftsumpf, der
ihnen den weg versperrte. der
yogi suchte nach einem weg um
den sumpf herum - aber er hat
bis heute noch keinen gefunden
und ist zurück geblieben

der 'held' hat genau so viel
angst wie der 'feigling'. aber
er stellt sich der angst, geht
in sie hinein und kommt am
anderen ende wieder raus

do the thing you fear and the end of fear is certain. ralph waldo emerson
the difference between a
coward and a 'hero' is small -
and none of the two is any
better or worse than the other.
the two simply take a different
approach

the yogi sought a way to
get around the swamp -
yet he never found one
to this day and thus
remained behind

so i guess it's best to get it
over and done with". without
hesitating he jumped into the
swamp and after some
struggling reached the other
shore and continued on his
way

the 'hero' is just as afraid as
the 'coward' - but he faces
the fear, delves into it and
comes out on the other side

although much more could be said
on the subject, we end this report
here with the above quote by jim

about jim, sacheen and others
mentioned in this report

the tantra monk, on the other
hand, said to himself: "sooner or
later i'll have to jump into the
poisonous swamp if i want to
continue on my way

courage is a love affair with the unknown. osho
and while many still swelter in a
fear prison of their own making,
here's one person who left behind
his fears of what people think
about him:

thema gesagt werden könnte,
beschliessen wir diesen report hier

sagte es, sprang in den
sumpf, kämpfte sich durch,
erreichte schliesslich das
andere ufer und konnte auf
seinem weg weiterziehen

der tantra-mönch sagte sich:
"früher oder später werde ich
in den giftsumpf springen
müssen um das andere ufer
zu erreichen. also bringen
wir's am besten gleich hinter
uns."
there is an old story
that goes something
like tihis: a yogi and a
tantra monk came to a
poisonous swamp
blocking their way.
typically for a piece of true wisdom, the
above story can be applied to many other
things in life. in essence it says: "there is
no way around it - the way leads right
through it"
